I'm a huge fan of these characters. As they get older, they become even more fascinating! I always think I'll get tired of them, but somehow the author keeps me engaged by incorporating plausible current events.

I really don't understand the decision to switch narrators for the final book in the campus series. I couldn't even get halfway through this one. I absolutely loved the rest of the series. LDP is an incredible narrator and these books are fantastic. The new narrator constantly mispronounced character names and failed to give each character a unique voice. It was such a letdown.

I'm a big fan of Tom Clancy novels on audio. They never fail to deliver an exciting experience. But I have to be real here, Scott Brick as the narrator didn't quite hit the mark. It feels like he either lacks the effort to bring the story to life or simply lacks the ability to inject energy into it. Personally, I'd much rather have Lou Diamond Philips narrate these books. He's a dynamic storyteller, full of energy, and does an incredible job at giving each character their own unique voice.

This was my initial experience with Scott Brick as a narrator, and I was almost ready to abandon it due to the slow and somber tone. However, I decided to try something different. I began using the fast forward feature on the audio app I was using. Through my experimentation, I discovered that listening at 1.15x speed was just about right for me. There were only a few instances where I noticed slight distortion on certain words, but it was infrequent and didn't deter from the overall experience. Now, I find Brick's narration more bearable.

The narration was on point! Scott Brick did a great job, but I gotta say, bring back Lou Diamond Philips! LDP absolutely nailed the voices and inflections!

Greaney delivers a solid story in "Full Force and Effect." While it may not be the ultimate masterpiece, it provides immense satisfaction as a fan of the series. This is precisely why I stuck around for the Arisen books and eventually Mitch Rapp. Scott Brick's narration has grown on me, particularly after listening to subsequent Jack Ryan audiobooks. However, I absolutely loved Lou Diamond Phillips' narrating style. He brought more life to the characters, showcasing his talent through various interpretations. Chavez's legit Latino accent added authenticity, while John Clark sounded like a seasoned veteran. Jack Jr., on the other hand, came across as a youthful and energetic character. I can't fully dismiss Scott Brick's almost monotonous reading, but it falls short of delivering the full force and effect that I crave in a performance.

I won't be buying any more books with Scott Brick as the narrator. It just doesn't compare to the amazing narration by Lou Diamond Phillips.
