I decided to purchase this book after hearing positive feedback about its suitability for my son. However, to my surprise, I ended up enjoying it even more than him. And let me tell you, he absolutely adored it!
This book is awesome! Kids can totally connect with the story, and I was hooked on it too. I definitely suggest giving it a go. The voices are top-notch, and the narrative really pulls you in. I'm a big Jocko fan, and I gotta admit, he can write like nobody's business.
As a regular listener of Jocko's podcast, I've often heard him mention this book. At first, I brushed it off, thinking it was just a children's book. But today, I thought, "Why not give it a listen while I work?" Well, let me tell you, I found myself enthusiastically rooting for the characters on multiple occasions. In fact, I loved it so much that I ended up purchasing the entire series to gift to my grandkids! Even at the age of 44, I found myself drawing inspiration from this seemingly "kids book." Its message of encouraging kids to take action and work hard for their goals is truly refreshing. Bravo to Mr. Willink, and thank you! 🇺🇸
This book is an amazing choice for children and it absolutely deserves to be considered for a movie adaptation! If only I had this book when I was a kid, it would have been awesome.
