I really enjoyed 'White Night: The Dresden Files, Book 9', and one of the main reasons was the amazing supporting cast. Just like in the previous books in the series, characters like Murph, Mouse, Bob, Elaine, and Lash really stood out to me. The narration was top-notch as always, earning a 5+ star rating. However, I must admit that the story itself was a bit complex. With the constant explanations of how magic works and the never-ending double-crossing, it was easy to get confused. Not that I was looking for an "easier" read, but sometimes I couldn't keep track of who the bad guy(s) were supposed to be.
I'm not really feeling this one as the top choice. It's a bit sluggish in terms of pacing. But hey, it's Dresden, so there's that familiar charm. However, the chapters seem a bit out of order. One moment he's by the lake, and the next he's in New Mexico. I'll give it another shot by downloading it again. Still, I'm a big fan of the series.
