The narration of this audiobook is fantastic and it's a breeze to listen to. The information presented is supported by scientific evidence. I not only highly recommend this book, but it has also strengthened my belief in the benefits of a whole food, plant-based diet.
Once I finished reading this book, I decided to give a plant-based diet a shot for half a year. Gotta be honest, it was quite the challenge for me. Surprisingly, I ended up gaining weight during this period because my substitutes for meat (like rice, beans, and processed meat alternatives) didn't quite hit the spot. So, I went back to an omnivorous diet and boy, do I feel great now! In fact, I've managed to shed a whopping 40 pounds. Thanks to this book and others, I've drastically reduced my dairy intake, although meat still plays a vital role in ensuring I get all the necessary nutrients.
I absolutely adored it. I listened to it not once, but twice! I gained so much knowledge from Dr. Campbell's groundbreaking work in "The China Study," and now this incredible book. Thank you so much!
