  • Once again, Janet proves that she's got a sharp tongue and a knack for clever one-liners. To all you critics out there, lighten up! I've also read the Stephanie Plum series, and I disagree with the notion that Stephanie and Lizzie are interchangeable. Sure, there are some similarities, but Lizzie has enough subtle differences that a perceptive listener (or reader) will be able to appreciate. I believe that as the series progresses, Lizzie will grow as a character. Personally, I'd love to see Lizzie channel a bit of Lara Croft, but let's give her some time to develop. After all, this is just the beginning. We get to learn more about Wolf and Diesel's background, and Glo is nothing like LuLa. She's more like a teenage version of Aunt Clara from Bewitched. Cat 7143 is a mysterious character with loads of potential. And imagine the possibilities if Cat teams up with Carl the monkey! The series has immense potential as long as Janet is willing to take some risks. "Wicked" is like a mix of Alice Hoffman's "Practical Magic" and Indiana Jones. Lizzie and Diesel's search for ancient relics, which represent the seven deadly sins, is only just getting started. This adventure is just a taste of the hilarious and action-packed escapades that lie ahead!
  • Definitely not my top pick in the book department. Janet Evanovich is one of those authors I really enjoy, but this particular book just didn't hit the mark for me. It felt a little lackluster and silly, which is not what I typically expect from her. I'd say it's one to skip.
  • I thought the story was just okay. However, the omission of the "g" sound at the end of words was incredibly off-putting and constantly caused me to lose focus. It might have been tolerable while reading the book, but it became extremely annoying when listening to the audio version. I'll likely skip any future books featuring Lizzie.
  • You know If this is supposed to be a "spin off" for Ranger... it probably should have been from Ranger's point of view... being that the # series is a "Stephanie Plum series", and from her point of view. The female main character was Stephanie reincarnated, swap hampster for cat. It was a nice little story, but kinda like a kitchy-shot at the # series. I hope the Ranger series takes a better attempt next time.
  • Wonderful characters in an fun adventure. I totally enjoyed this book. We get to see more of Diesel's life as he continues to battle Wulf. Oh yeah, Carl the monkey is back. I highly recommend this book and hope to see more Diesel stories.
