This book sheds light on the fact that a large majority of people are dehydrated, and have been for years, or even decades! Dr. Batmanghelidj presents scientific evidence that indicates many of the ailments we experience are a result of chronic dehydration. It totally makes sense! We all know that our bodies are made up of approximately 85% water. And most of us are aware that we don't drink enough water. How many of us actually manage to consume 8-10 full glasses of water each day? I know I certainly don't. However, after listening to this book, things are going to change. The good news is that many of the issues mentioned above can be relieved, or even eliminated, by consistently drinking enough water every day! Additionally, the author delves into the topic of salt and how it's not as villainous as we've been led to believe. In fact, a lot of us need to increase our salt intake! Yes, increase! There's a catch though, you need to consume salt along with a proper amount of water. He also touches on why aspartame is causing people to gain weight. I could keep going on and on about the multitude of health revelations this book has to offer, but you need to listen for yourself.
  • This book is absolutely amazing! It's packed with valuable information. However, the narrator seems disinterested and rushes through the content without any emotion or expression. I definitely won't be listening to any more audiobooks narrated by him in the future. I really hope he didn't get paid for this terrible performance.
