Summary
Amanda is bored with life. She spends hours a day on Facebook, her parents act like they are too ancient to enjoy life any longer, and her military husband, Ralph, is deployed to Afghanistan. Gideon is not totally content at home either. His wife, Nina, is a lifetime overachiever and a workaholic. She has moved her mother into their home so she can have a live-in sitter, and Gideon has fallen to the bottom of her priority list. On Black Friday 2012, both Amanda and Gideon end up at a Best Buy to take advantage of the massive price cuts on electronics. When the store opens its door at midnight, the potential customers rush the glass doors and end up in a brawl. Built-up excitement turns into mass pandemonium as the police show up in riot gear. I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'Zane's Everything Fades Away: An eShort Story'! It was such a great book, although I have to admit, it ended a bit too quickly for my liking. Nonetheless, it was truly amazing.
Being a long-time fan of Zane, this eShort Story called 'Zane's Everything Fades Away' absolutely hit the spot. It's short yet sizzling, just what I was craving. Zane's signature style instantly captivates you, drawing you into the story from the get-go. In the midst of all the chaos we face in reality, this audiobook provided a delightful escape. Now, excuse me while I go locate my significant other; they deserve some extra love after experiencing this book!
I've dabbled in reading Zane's work over time. But man, let me tell you, listening to this audiobook really took the story to a whole new level! It totally caught me off guard, especially that ending! Gotta admit, they really nailed it with this one. The voice actors were top-notch, and damn, the guy who read Gideon sounded incredibly seductive!

The way it all wraps up, I have both a deep affection and frustration towards the ending, but that's exactly what makes it so compelling. Without a doubt, this book was absolutely worth every moment spent on it.
I've definitely come across better books from Zane in my reading experience. However, I must admit that "Zane's Everything Fades Away: An eShort Story" was still an enjoyable listen. It was pretty good, to be honest.
